"Roora," the Shona word translated into English means either one of two things "bride-price" or "dowry." The word ku-roora
means "to be a partner in a marriage transaction; to aquire a wife by Shona custom." Roora is not a payment for
the bride it is when the guy gives valuables to the girls family.
